The material in this book has been compiled from the author's previous work Construction Technology which was in four volumes. The purpose of the present volume is to make available in one readily accessible volume the chapters relating to technical information on building site works, substructure and plant needed by both the builder and student. The book covers the basic site organization processes including plant selection together with typical temporary and permanent works up to ground level, and discusses these topics in relation to current concepts in construction technology.
