Seed Bead Fusion Reviews

Seed beads (aka rocailles) are my own favorite beads because they are so versatile, and so easy to obtain as opposed to many of the lovely materials used in jewelry making manuals. They come in every color, many different finishes and a variety of sizes. Here is a bookful of designs on how to use them to their maximum potential to make some great fashion jewelry.

Every project comes with its own fascinating story (one was even inspired by Star Wars) and a set of very useful "Rachel's Tips" to make for easier working. The basics of off-loom and wire work are included at the back, but all the pieces have their own well illustrated photographic staged instructions to help you along. These off-loom stitches certainly get put through their paces in here, as there are some wonderful pieces including rope necklaces, cuffs inspired by insect egg cases, bracelets, chokers and more. Some of them are worked with wire, others combine the stitches for a stunningly different look. If you are a rocaille fan who has been looking for a slightly more advanced and avant garde book than the usual then this ought to appeal. As long as you have done the basics the clear instructions ought to make working these pieces as simple as if you had bought a kit. I think it will take me some time to work through this one - I don't say that very often!
