This work covers the whole spectrum of singlehanded sailing on coastal passages, ocean voyages and racing. Suitable choices of boat, sails and self-steering gear and the psychology, tactics and perils of sailing alone are given coverage, while the experiences of singlehanded sailors are discussed.
