A Darkening Stain Reviews

Praise for Blood is Dirt 'For once a novelist influenced by Raymond Chandler is not shown up by the comparison, matching his mentor's descriptive flourishes and screwball dialogue' Sunday Times The Big Killing 'A densely plotted thriller, prickling with excitement and packed with squalorogical detail ... fiercely imagined and not a little frightening' Literary Review 'If I come across as original and blackly funny a thriller again this year, I'll feel myself doubly blest' Irish Times
