It was her way of coping with the dreadful things she endured at home. But then her home life deteriorated; her father began abusing her too and her mother suffered severe mental illness. The worse things got, the more personalities Ruth created in order to try to escape her life. Ruth eventually left home and dedicated her life to helping others. She learnt to manage her condition until 5 years ago when her defences ruptured and she had a breakdown. After years of hard work, Ruth recovered and now helps others suffering from Multiple Personality Disorder.
