Nick Ellerker was no angel, but he was endowed with gifts of the heart. Diagnosed as having Down's syndrome, he had a passion for reconciliation and unity. Helping those around him to live in the present moment, his compassion led him from deep sadness to explosions of joy. In this book, the author recounts his life, particularly the last 14 years which were spent as a member of the community of l'Arche Lambeth in West Norwood, London.
