In 1922, as a 15-year-old schoolboy, Auden decided to become a poet. In 1928, just down from Oxford, he produced his first book, "Poems", printed by his friend Stephen Spender. During his years of apprenticeship Auden wrote over 200 poems, and all which survive are included in this book.

This is a used book - there is no escaping the fact it has been read by someone else and it will show signs of wear and previous use. Overall we expect it to be in very good condition, but if you are not entirely satisfied please get in touch with us.
