Framing Fearful Symmetries Summary

Framing Fearful Symmetries by (Writer on tigers) David Blake

Framing Fearful Symmetries includes scientific information about tigers, some published here for the first time, and suggests innovative techniques for their conservation. The tigers in this book roam far beyond the jungle and the reader is invited to track these tigers through personal, psychological and philosophical terrain. Trying to halt and reverse the decline of tigers without addressing environmental problems is of limited value or a waste of time. Many of these problems reveal common connections and indicate that our current problems are as old as humanity. However, unlike previous generations, the scale of these problems is now global and critical and need to be addressed without further delay. Although the most important of the solutions are of equal vintage, the suggestions offer fresh perspectives and will bring benefits to the tiger, the environment, and the reader. The author is a co-founder of an small environmental charity that focuses on tiger conservation in India. Their work, spanning 40 years, includes field work in Nepal and Thailand and complements their academic studies and is for the same purpose; conserving wildlife, which ultimately converses humans.
