Book Sourcing Quality

What sort of books do you sell?

All the books on our website have been passed on to us by charity shops, book banks and libraries.

These surplus books used to be sent to landfill, but we now re-home and recycle over eighteen thousand metric tonnes of pre-loved books a year.

This creates a true circular economy, benefiting charities, the environment, and of course all the passionate book lovers out there!

What condition will my books be in?

We offer three grades of book – Very Good, Good and Well-Read.

If it’s also an Ex-Library book this will also be listed on the web page.

The detailed description of these grades can be found in our Condition Category Guide.

If a book doesn’t meet our high standards it’s sent for recycling. No book is wasted.


Delivery & Shipping

What are your delivery costs?

Standard delivery is absolutely free to customers both in Australia and everywhere else in the world.

How long will it take for my book to arrive?

Standard shipping takes 8-10 working days, but if you live in an outback area please allow an extra couple of days.

Do you offer faster shipping rates?

We don't offer faster shipping rates at the moment, but it’s something we’re hoping to offer in the future.

Can I change my delivery address?

You can change your address at any time during the Checkout Process.

However, because we process requests very quickly, once your order’s been placed it’s no longer possible to change the delivery address.

If you have made a mistake with your order, please contact us as soon as possible and we will try and resolve any issues.

Do you provide an order tracking facility?

We don’t currently have an order tracking facility, but it’s something we’re working on for the future.

Where is my order?

Account Customers

If you have set up an Account the current status of your order is displayed in your Account Dashboard.

You can find this by logging in here.

We will keep you up-to-date by email at every stage of the dispatch process.

Guest Customers

If you have placed an order as a Guest the Account Dashboard facility is not available.

We will also keep you up-to-date by email at every stage of the dispatch process.

Payments and Refunds

What payment methods are available?

We accept payments by PayPal and by all major credit and debit cards excluding American Express.

If I buy more than one item, will be they be shipped at the same time?

We do try to keep orders together, but sometimes to help ensure the quickest possible delivery we’ll split your order into several packages.

What’s your refund policy?

We’re happy to discuss any concerns you may have, and can provide refunds within 30 days of purchase. If you would like to discuss a refund claim please contact us.

Will I receive an invoice showing the Goods and Services Tax (GST) paid with my order?

You will receive an order confirmation with your book but not a sales invoice.
