一行诗人和艺术家团体是1987年初在纽约提倡发起的，并于1987年5月10日出版了《一行》诗歌艺术季刊，是海外第一份华文诗刊，主要刊登海外和大陆以及台湾香港的华文作品，每期也刊登翻译成中文的西方著名诗人的作品。
