The Acupuncture Points Functions Colouring Book by Rainy Hutchinson
Learn the functions of acupuncture points by colouring and doodling your way through the sequence of images on the twelve primary and eight extra channels. Imaginative illustrations will help students from a wide range of schools and traditions to remember point names, with handy text providing a quick cross reference of their main functions.
The book itself is very simpleThe author consciously chose to describe only some of the points. Moreover, she decided to limit the information to one important sentence about each point. These decisions result in clarity and simplicity, and definitely help in focusing on the presented knowledge...The author encourages the readers to add their own pictures of missing points when they think these points are important. Doing this the reader is not just a passive receiver of the knowledge anymore, but becomes an active co-creator of the book -- Bartosz Chmielnicki * European Journal of Oriental Medicine *
Rainy Hutchinson is an acupuncturist, who runs her own clinic in Sheffield. She trained first in Fine Art Sculpture and worked for ten years as a teacher of Art & Design before retraining as an acupuncturist. While studying, she used drawings to visually represent her notes, and she was soon approached by fellow students, and those from other colleges who wanted to use her drawings as a learning aid. She has since completed further training in paediatric acupuncture, and she now treats both adults and children in her clinic.
