Over the past 20 years, Janet Pittman, a quilt artist from West Des Moines, Iowa, has been designing quilts. Her quilts have won numerous awards at quilt shows in Iowa and Des Moines. Fons & Porter Love of Quilting, American Patchwork and Quilting, and Country Marketplace have all featured her quilt designs. Janet is the author of a number of books, including First-Time Machine Applique, Applique: The Fundamentals & Beyond, and Colorful Quilts for Lively Kids.
