The Barnabas Schools' Bible by Rhona Davies
Presents a continuous thread from Genesis to Revelation in historical, rather than biblical, order.
RE News - Autumn 2007 This is a wonderful new resource for key stage 2 pupils, which retells 365 well-selected biblical stories from Genesis to Revelation presented as a broadly cohesive narrativeThe text is both interesting and accessible, without compromising accuracy, and it is referenced unobtrusively throughout to the original biblical sources. This Bible is ideal for the intended age group because it provides the necessary bridge between simplified collections of biblical stories for very young children and the less accessible format and text of Bibles for adults. There is also an informative encyclopedia at the back of the Bible which deepens pupils' understanding of the biblical world, and covers the following topics: food and farming; plants and animals; families; clothing; daily life; homes and houses; towns and cities; religion; work; trade and travel; civilisations; and weapons and warriors
