Blood Rites by Jimmy Lee Shreeve
Takes us on a journey into the darkest corners of the world, following the initial investigations of Scotland Yard into the Thames murder, travelling to South Africa and then Nigeria, where the full horror of an 'export trade' in humans to Britain for sacrifice is unveiled. This book reveals the story of a violent tradition.
Jimmy Lee Shreeve is a journalist who has written for the Guardian, Independent, Financial Times, Daily Star, Sun, Midweek, The X Factor, amongst others. He has been called 'the British heir to Hunter S. Thompson's early gonzo journalism', and Jimmy likes to think he's taken as many hallucinogens as the great Hunter, but he can't be sure. He also hosts his own radio show -- Crime Rap Hour -- which has a dedicated following. When Jimmy isn't writing, you can find him playing blues music at downtrodden bars, or performing ritual ceremonies on Hampstead Heath.
