The Brontes by Charlotte Bronte
This is a collection of the Brontes' work (one novel by each), together with notes on the text of each and a chronology of the sisters' lives.
Anne Brontü¾˜¦”¼ (1820-49), the youngest of the famous sisters, drew upon her experiences as a governess to write her first novel, Agnes Grey. Her second, The Tenant of Wildfell Hall, was partly inspired by her dissolute brother, and she died from tuberculosis a year after its publication. Despite its popularity, Charlotte Brontü¾˜¦”¼ suppressed the book's republication, leaving it to be rediscovered as an early feminist classic.
