Brother Roger of Taize by Marcello Fidanzio

Brother Roger Schutz (1915-2005) was the beloved founder of Taiz , an international center of worship and inter-Christian commitment in rural France. The influence of his monastic community has been immense; Taiz has become a popular place of pilgrimage for young people from all over the world who come there for worship and meditation. Brother Rogers spiritual beliefs and messages of peace, reconciliation and forgiveness have become all the more profound and relevant since his murder in 2005.

He was a prolific author, with his books and journals being translated into many languages and winning a number of prestigious international awards. This book reflects some of the best of his spiritual writings from 1941 until his death in 2005.
