California Missions by Gregory Lee

Long before the gold rush, missionaries travelled to the west coast, built houses of worship and spread Christianity. Much of the state's culture and history stems from these structures, built as early as 1769 before the American Revolution!).

Greg Williams, an award-winning writer, novelist, and public speaker who presently serves as executive editor of Wired magazine, goes by the pen name Gregory Lee. He spent a decade working in publishing in New York City before settling in London. He is the co-founder of the digital story-telling platform MyLondonStory, and his work has featured in several publications including The Guardian, Observer, Arena, The Face, Details, and Newsweek. Williams is the father of two children. His fifth novel is The Nero Decree.
