Having moved to Provence, Helene Thornton's village was a welcoming place and yet the warmest greetings she received were from the many cats that lived there. This is a story of love between her, a Frenchman and cats, especially one cat, Bebe.
Helene Thornton is a writer and artist. She was born in Blackpool and lived in nine countries before settling in La Cadiere d'Azur in the Var region of Provence. The first time she owned a cat was at the age of 21, when she rescued a kitten that had been hit by a car. Her husband says she is part cat.
