It presents different eras and styles of childrenswear, including: Ancient Egyptian pleated linen robes; medieval tunics, stockings and fur-trimmed hats; exquisite miniature 17th-century gowns; and, the printed cotton dresses and slippers of the 19th century.
John Peacock has worked as a fashion and costume designer and lecturer in fashion history. He was for several years senior costume designer for BBC Television, and is the author of many books on costume.
