The Church of England c.1689c.1833 by John Walsh
After decades of neglect there has been a resurgence of interest in the history of the Church of England in 'the long eighteenth century'. This volume of essays brings together the fruits of some of this research. Most of the essays have been written, not by traditional ecclesiastical historians, but by political, social and cultural historians, a fact which reflects the diversity of approaches to the study of the Church of England in the eighteenth century. As a whole, the volume demonstrates that religion and the Church can no longer be regarded as a discrete subject in the history of eighteenth-century England, but are central to a full understanding of its life and thought.JOHN WALSH is a professional storyteller, an author, and a speaker. He founded the Christian Storytelling Network, which connects Christian storytellers all throughout the country. He is the creator and president of BibleTelling, an organization that teaches individuals how to understand and tell Bible stories, as well as how to apply them to all aspects of ministry. John speaks at conventions and conducts trainings for missionaries, pastors, teachers, and Christian workers all around the world. He teaches BibleTelling seminars throughout Israel, telling 110 Bible stories at 45 different locations. He also hosts the weekly video podcast BibleTelling - Story-of-the-Week.
It can be found at www.BibleTelling.org. John delivers the weekly Bible story and provides background information, as well as additional observations. John and his wife Jan live in Bloomington, Illinois. They have a total of fourteen grandchildren and four grown children.
