Lew Nichols is the owner and operator of the Vershire Cidery in Vermont. He is co-author, with Annie Proulx, of Cider. More recently, she wrote the Pulitzer-prize winning novel The Shipping News, as well as numerous short stories, magazine articles, and nonfiction books.
