Jane Ray is an acclaimed and much-loved children's illustrator. She collaborated Kevin Crossley-Holland on Heartsong, and with Carol Ann Duffy on The Lost Happy Endings. She also writes and illustrates her own books, including The Nutcracker and Can You Catch a Mermaid?, and has been shortlisted six times for the Kate Greenaway Medal. Jane lives in London, N10.
