The Colour of Ireland by Rob Cross

The Colour of Ireland: County by County 1860-1960 is a photographic celebration of the history, culture, people and places that make up a century of life in Ireland.

Rob Cross hails from Limerick City in Ireland and has a professional background in architecture and digital technology. He graduated from Edinburgh's Heriot-Watt University and now works for an award-winning architectural practice in Dublin City.

Rob is passionate about Irish history, particularly preserving its architectural heritage and culture. In his project 'Bringing Ireland's History to Life' Rob meticulously restores and colourises historical photos for future generations to enjoy. What began as a hobby is now captured in this book. Rob's debut book was a bestseller, and he has appeared on national TV and radio, including RTÉ's Nationwide programme. His work has been featured in exhibitions at Dublin's Custom House and Mansion House, as well as at the Crawford Art Gallery in Cork. The history project also has an international fanbase on Twitter, including politicians.
