Conversations on Christian Feminism by Margaret Hebblethwaite
Two distinguished women writers, one Catholic and one evangelical, pioneered this theme at the Greenbelt arts festival. They go to the heart of the issues which divide Christian women, including women priests, female representations of Christ, and same-sex relationships. Implicit throughout is a feeling that women's ministry may be able to transcend the theological divide in a new and vibrant way. Despite their differing traditions, the authors see their dialogue as an exercise in reconciliation.
Margaret Hebblethwaite is a writer, theologian and assistant editor of the Catholic journal The Tablet. She is author of seven books including the Fount spiritual classic Finding God in All Things. She was married to the biographer Peter Hebblethwaite who died in 1994. Elaine Storkey is a writer, broadcaster and director of the London-based training centre, Christian Impact. She is author of several books including the 1994 Archbishop's Lent Book Mary's Story, Mary's Song.
