Courtney Goes to the Hospital by Lucille Kelsall-Knight

Courtney has to go to the hospital today where she will see lots of people who work in the hospital and help people. The hospital isn't a scary place. It's just a normal day in the life of Courtney, her brother Michael and their two mums.
This is a book which allows families with same-sex parents explore what may happen when they go to the hospital. It also lets children discover the diversity of families and opens up conversations on same-sex parenting and adoption.
Kelsall-Knight, Lucille: - Lucille lives with her wife and their two children in the Midlands, United Kingdom. She has been a qualified children's nurse since 2004 and is a lecturer in children's nursing. This is her first children's book and it stems from her doctoral research which focused on lesbian parents accessing healthcare for their adopted children. She is an advocate for equality, diversity and inclusion in healthcare.
