Creative Digital Printmaking by Theresa Airey
A guide to creating prints of photographs on a home printer. It discusses what hardware is needed, including technical information on computers, monitors, scanners, printers, CD writers and more. The reader will then learn how to create dozens of exceptional images through a variety of computer techniques. The author addresses how to: use Photoshop filters; create duotones and tritones; saturate colours and hand colour digital prints; and create new images from multiple overlays. Finally, there is a gallery of work by 20 fine art photographers, together with descriptions of the techniques they use.
Theresa Airey holds an MFA in Photography and Fine Art and has instructed at the University of
Maryland, Towson State University, and the Maryland Institute, College of Art. She hosts workshops around the world, and has taught at Palm Beach (FL) Workshops, the Ansel Adams' Workshop in California, the New England Photographic Workshops in Connecticut, The Formulary in Montana, and for the Masterworks and Bermuda Society of Art in Bermuda. Her work has been exhibited internationally as well as throughout the United States. Theresa's articles have appeared in numerous photo magazines, and she has authored and illustrated several books, including Digital Photo Art and Beginner's Guide to Digital Photo Art.
