Critical Theory of Technology by Andrew Feenberg

Feenberg discusses the possibility of a radical reform of industrial society. He challenges the assumption that modern society, with its emphasis on technological reasoning, has condemned its members to mindless work and subservience to the dictates of management. In doing so, he presents a new interpretation of the relationship between technology, rationality, and democracy.

Andrew Feenberg is a professor and Canada Research Chair in Philosophy of Technology at Simon Fraser University's Faculty of Communication. He is the author of Heidegger and Marcuse, as well as Critical Theory of Technology, Alternative Modernity, Questioning Technology, Transforming Technology, and Critical Theory of Technology.
