Cry For Help by Henning Wagenbreth
A Cry For Help is a series of brilliant vignettes illustrating 36 of Wagenbreth's favourite scam emails from Africa. He uses a variety of artistic styles, from woodblock and linocut prints to computerised images, and all visualise in tragicomic manner just how easily a weapon of globalisation (the internet) can be turned against its creators. Henning Wagenbreth is an award-winning illustrator and professor of Visual Communication at the Universitat der Kunste in Berlin (Berlin Academy of Arts).
Michael Reynolds is a professor of visual communication at the Academy of Fine Arts in Berlin. He has worked as an editor and illustrator, and is the author a collection of short stories entitled Domingo especial. Henning Wagenbreth is as an illustrator, a graphic designer, and a professor of illustration at the University of Arts in Berlin.
