Cycling for Profit by Jim Gregory

You don't need to be a professional racer to succeed at making your living by bike. This book shows the many ways it can be done-and how to go about making your business florish. The author draws upon his own experience as well as that of fellow bike-based businesses around the world. The first part of the book covers the various kinds of bicycle-powered operations that are open to full-time and part-time employment, listing what kind of equipment is needed and the practical aspects of marketing and operations. The second part of the book describes the specific requiements and modes of operation for each particular kind of business.

After World War II Arroyo Grande and Patriot Graves: Exploring a California Town's Civil War History, Jim Gregory, a longtime Arroyo Grande resident, has written his third book on local history. Gregory went to local schools, including the Upper Arroyo Grande Valley's two-room Branch School, Cuesta College, the University of Missouri, where he earned a history degree, and Cal Poly, where he earned his teaching license. He spent thirty years as a teacher at San Luis Obispo's Mission Prep and Arroyo Grande High School. He was Lucia Mar's Teacher of the Year in 2010-11, and after retiring in 2015, he began writing. Gregory is married to Elizabeth, who works as a campus chaplain and a teacher at St. John's University. Joseph is a Santa Maria High School graduate and the father of two kids, John and Thomas.
