Sue is author of I'm Alive and the Doctor's Dead, Duh-votions!, Girls Gotta Have Fun, A Party Begins in the Heart, and Friends Through Thick and Thin, coauthored with Gloria Gaither, Peggy Benson and Joy MacKenzie, as well as two bestselling children's books: I Love You This Much (with Lynn Hodges), winner of the Children's Choice Award and finalist for the Gold Medallion Award; and Mud Pie Annie (with daughter Dana Shafer), winner of a silver award from Excellence in Media.
