Desert Redemption by Betty Webb

When two communes-polar opposites of each other-spring up nearby in the Arizona desert, PI Lena Jones, deciding to investigate, discovers a link to her violent past that could shed light on what had happened to her mother, who was murdered by a cult leader.

Betty Webb worked as a journalist before becoming a full-time mystery writer, interviewing everyone from U.S. presidents to celebrities. The homeless and polygamy runaways, from politicians and Nobel Prize recipients. Her writings are mostly inspired by the stories she covered as a reporter. She is a member of the National Federation of Press Women, Mystery Writers of America, the Society of Southwestern Authors, and Women Writing the West. She also volunteers at the Phoenix Zoo.
