In 1998, aged just 16, Phillip Butah was the youngest prizewinner in the competition Young Artists' Britain: The Prince of Wales's Young Artists' Award. He went on to study Fine Art at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in London. He lives and has his studio in the East End of London.
