(George) Holbrook Jackson (1874 - 1948) was a notable bibliophile and collector, as well as a literary critic and commercial journal manager. In 1907, he helped start the political and literary monthly New Age, with Bernard Shaw's support. Bernard Shaw (1907), The Eighteen Nineties (1913), Anatomy of Bibliomania (1931), Bookman's Vacation (1945), and On Art and Socialism (1947) are among his works.
