1950. Fourth Edition. 278 pages. Illustrated jacket over grey pictorial cloth. Includes illustrated plates. Pages have slight foxing, tanning and minor thumbing. Slight gutter cracking. Binding is firm. Foxing and tanning more noticeable towards start and end of book and on text block edges. A few dog-eared corners. Boards have some moderate edge wear, with slight bumping to corners and minor bumping to spine ends. Mildly dust-marked on edges and spine. Unclipped jacket in poor condition, with large areas of loss, heavy tears, creases, and marks. Almost in two separate pieces.
