Geoffrey Wansell is an accalimed biographer, whose previous subjects include Cary Grant and Sir James Goldsmith. His biography of playwright Terence Rattigan was shortlisted as the Whitbread Book of the Year in 1995. He has written for The Times, the Observer and the Sunday Telegraph and produced the 20th Century-Fox film 'When the Whales Came'. He was born in Scotland and now lives in Dorset.
