Lowell Cauffiel is an author, novelist, screenwriter, and film and television producer from the United States. Cauffiel began his career as a music magazine contributor, contributing to publications such as Rolling Stone and Creem. During the 1970s and 1980s, he worked as an award-winning reporter for the Detroit News and Detroit Monthly Magazine. Cauffiel is a co-founder of Primary Purpose Productions, a non-profit organization that produces short films about recovering addicts and alcoholics.
