Pamela Taylor was an elementary teacher in Louisiana for 12 years, working predominantly with students with disabilities. For nine years she has been providing support to public school teachers who teach students with special needs in her district. Ms. Taylor earned her B.S. and M.S. degrees from Louisiana State University. The actual experience she received that aided the most in the development of this book, however, came when she and her siblings became the care givers for their father and mother.
