Words of Rain is Oklahoma poet James Coburn's first book of poetry. His poem Oklahoma Lynching was also published in Elegant Rage an anthology by Village Book Press celebrating the centennial birthday of Woody Guthrie. More than once has Coburn been a selected poetry reader at the Woody Guthrie Festival in Okemah, Oklahoma as well as Oklahoma City. His poetry has been published in poetryvlog.com and has appeared in anthologies published by the Poetry Society of Oklahoma. In 2013, Coburn was awarded membership in the Oklahoma Journalism Hall of Fame. He resides in Guthrie, Oklahoma.
