Gil Bettman is a lecturer as well as a filmmaker. He is a professor in the Dodge College of Film & Media Arts at Chapman University. His book, First Time Director, was a bestseller in the Los Angeles Times. He recently finished his sixth feature film, Be There Once, Be There Twice, a documentary on rock star Sammy Hagar's life and times. Bettman has also directed a number of music videos and primetime television series.
