Tyler Kord is a New York City chef and restaurateur. He is the proprietor of Number One. 7 in Ft. Greene, Brooklyn The Greene neighborhood, as well as the No. The Ace Hotel, The Plaza, Brooklyn Bridge Park, and Greenpoint, Brooklyn all have 7 Sub sandwich eateries.
In the French Culinary School, he worked under chef Alain Sailhac, and at Perry St., he worked for chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten. Tyler also holds a bachelor's degree. When he tries to write a cookbook that isn't embarrassing, his parents can't believe that his schooling might have truly been a helpful part of his life.
