Walter Anthony Barringer Dinteman was born and raised in Morgantown, West Virginia where he attended public schools and graduated from WVU. After a brief stint as a teacher, Walter was recruited as a college textbook sales representative which began a career in publishing that lasted forty years. Walter now resides in Asheville, North Carolina. He now writes books and drives almost daily for Uber, his best retirement job so far. Walter's other books include: The Credit Card Catalog (1980) the first guidebook on credit card collecting. Zero Defect Hiring: A Brief Guide to the Most Important Decisions Managers Have to Make (Pfeiffer, 2003) a book on the recruiting and hiring process and how to make that as flawless and productive as possible. Morph: the Resurrection of Angels (2015) a science fiction novel based on the possibility that angels were real and, if they reappear what might the consequences be? Uber & Out is a compilation of stories about Walter's and other Uber drivers adventures and misadventures driving in the new shared economy. It also contains information on becoming a driver and tips for being a successful one. Walter himself has driven more than ten thousand Uber trips, so he has plenty of stories to share!
