A Fractured Mind by Robert B Oxnam

In 1989, Robert B. Oxnam faced up to what he thought was his biggest personal challenge: alcoholism. But this dependency masked a problem far more difficult to accept - Dissociative Identity Disorder, or multiple personalities. Oxnam was haunted by blackouts and rages that he thought were caused by alcohol, until, during a therapy session in 1990, he blacked out and the first of his 11 alternate personalities surfaced. Narrated in the voices of the various personalities, My Fractured Mind is a powerful and moving story of this terrifying illness.

Robert B. Oxnam is a well-known Asia expert and lively speaker who has lectured all around the world. He frequently travels with renowned Americans like Bill Gates, Warren Buffett, and former President George H.W. Bush. W.Bush and Barbara Bush are traveling to China to gain firsthand understanding. He served as president of the Asia Society for more than a decade, with offices in New York, across the United States, and across the Asia-Pacific region. In Asia, he has hosted MacNeil/Lehrer NewsHour programs. He and his wife, Vishakha Desai, live in New York.
