Pieces on Balfour, Asquith, World War I, and Trotsky are included.A.J.P. Taylor was born in Lancashire in 1906 and educated at Oxford's Oriel College. He was a lecturer in international history at Oxford from 1953 until 1973, as well as a renowned broadcaster. The Battle for Mastery in Europe 1848-1918 and English History 1914-1945 are two of Taylor's many publications. In 1990, he passed away.
