McEwan-Fujita, Emily: - Dr. Emily McEwan-Fujita has been involved with Scottish Gaelic language and culture for over 30 years. She earned a Ph.D. in Anthropology from the University of Chicago and has taught linguistic and cultural anthropology at Washington University in St. Louis, Loyola University Chicago, University of Pittsburgh, and Saint Mary's University. A former editor of the Small Languages and Small Language Communities section of the International Journal of the Sociology of Language, Dr. McEwan-Fujita now lives in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
