The Ghost's Grave by Peg Kehret

Peg Kehret does it again in this spooky, suspenseful thriller!

What Josh thought would be the dullest summer of his life, spent with his eccentric great-aunt, turns chilling when he meets the ghost of a coal miner killed in a mine explosion. Willie has been waiting years for some kind soul to dig up his leg and rebury it with the rest of him--only then will he be at peace. Josh agrees to do the grisly deed, but when he digs in the old cemetery, he finds more than Willie's leg bones! Who buried the box of cash in the grave, and why? How far will that person go to get the money back? The Ghost's Grave is a deliciously spooky adventure from a master of suspense.

Peg Kehret works as both a playwright and a novelist. Her comedic, heartwarming plays have been performed in all 50 states and Canada, and her children's books have received widespread praise and critical acclaim. Peg was cast as a hillbilly granny in a one-act play as a freshman in high school. She tried out for every subsequent school play since she had so much fun. She worked backstage if she wasn't cast.

Peg was bitten by the Theatrical Bug... a major deal! Peg claims she would rather write than do practically anything else, and she has forty-six middle-grade books to her credit, including four theatrical books for children. The PEN Center Award in Children's Literature, the Golden Kite Award from the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators, the Forest Roberts Playwriting Award, the ASPCA's Henry Bergh Award, and more than fifty state young reader awards, where kids in various states voted for their best book, are just a few of her numerous accolades.

Peg resides in Washington State with her two grown children and four grandchildren.
