Glint of Light on Broken Glass by Jason Monaghan
In 1913 the west coast of the island of Guernsey is poor and backward, haunted by superstition. Aged sixteen, George Bazin is called up for the island's Militia, but is rejected as he is lame and almost blind without his spectacles. Will tragedy or good fortune lie in wait for the family Bazin?
Jason Monaghan is an archaeologist and Museums Director for the island of Guernsey. Under the pen name Jason Foss, he has also published several archaeology thrillers and written books on themes such as Roman pottery to shipwrecks. He is a member of the Crime Writers’ Association.
