Gospel by Donald De Beer
This presentation of the story of Jesus comprises the four gospels edited into a single narrative, arranged in chronological order, as far as this can be known. Nothing is added and only duplicate accounts are omitted. The result is the complete gospel story that can be read from cover to cover. Donald de Beer has based his translation on Nestle's Greek text, and a word-for-word English version by Rev Alfred Marshall published in 1967. He has compared this with other translations and commentaries to arrive at his clear, straightforward text. He says, "Serious students of scripture need to study the differences and interrelationships between the four gospels, but I think the ordinary person just wants to know what they say and mean."
