Norman Marshall (1932-1982) was a navy aviator who served from 1942 until 1982. He retired with more than 5,000 hours of flight time after 25 years in the Navy. Becoming a citizen again, he began to look for a soothing, useful, and enjoyable activity. He concluded that woodworking would be a excellent choice after remembering the nostalgic fragrance of freshly cut wood. Norm began inventing toys in 1974 because he had a vivid imagination and a desire to have fun. He'd discovered his calling and spent the rest of his life designing and building wooden toys until his death in 1982.
