Erwin's main goal in engineering practice has been to expand his knowledge beyond commercial process simulation software, filling in the gaps that these packages leave. In Korea, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, Peru, Singapore, Canada, Alaska, the United Kingdom, Europe, Africa, Egypt, and the United States, he worked in the chemical engineering and process industries.
