Ground Rules for Good Research by Martyn Denscombe
Amongst the bewildering array of approaches and beliefs about how social research should be conducted, this book guides the researcher to the 10 core issues. It shows why they are so fundamental and provides guidance on how they should be addressed by the researcher, and is useful for undergraduate and postgraduate students in social sciences.
Martyn Denscombe is Professor of Social Research at De Montfort University. He graduated in sociology and then qualified as a teacher at the University of London. He has a PhD from the University of Leicester for research on the social organization of teaching and his current research is on perceptions of risk and the health-related behaviour of young people.
